As part of Gleneagles JPMC’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative and in the spirit of the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan, the hospital organised a charity drive today to contribute donations in forms of basic essential items and cash donation to ten (10) underprivileged families in Temburong district.
This initiative was also in partnership with Majlis Kesejahteraan Masyarakat (MKM) who assisted in sourcing the families and also finding out their specific needs.
The charity drive saw around 30 staff of Gleneagles JPMC as volunteers, and was led by ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Hj Jomari, the Chief Operating Officer of Gleneagles JPMC.
“At Gleneagles JPMC, we recognise the importance of giving back to the community. This is our fourth year organising this charity drive, and our first time working with MKM to recognise and understand the needs of these families. We hope that this contribution can better prepare the families for the upcoming celebration of the holy month of Ramadhan” said ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Hj Jomari.
Also present during the kick-off of the charity drive were Dr Peter Tay, Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles JPMC.
