Gleneagles JPMC Corporate Social Responsibility Programme

Thursday, 13 August 2020 – As part of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, Gleneagles JPMC Sdn Bhd presented donations to five organisations. Each of the five organisations received a mock cheque of $10,000. The five recipient organisations were The Brunei Down Syndrome Association, An-Nur Harapan, Persatuan Orang Kurang Pendengaran Kebangsaan Negara Brunei Darussalam, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and Yayasan Kanak-Kanak Kanser. The event was held at Royal Berkshire, Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club, Jerudong.

Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour, and to hand over the cheques to the five organisations was the Honourable Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Member of the Board of Directors, Gleneagles JPMC. The recipients of the cheques were Ustazah Siti Zaleha Binti Hj Abu Salim (Deputy President of Down Syndrome Association), Noor Surainah Binti Haji Tengah (Member Board of Directors of An-Nur Harapan), Hajah Jaaranah Binti Talib (Setiausaha Agung Persatuan Orang Kurang Pendengaran Kebangsaan Negara Brunei Darussalam), Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini Binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila DiRaja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin (Executive and Operational Trustee of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam), Tsara’Nawwarah Abdullah Chen (Vice Chairman of Yayasan Kanak-Kanak Kanser).

In his opening remarks, Dr Peter Tay, the Chief Executive Officer of Gleneagles JPMC highlighted Gleneagles JPMC’s continued focus in supporting community welfare, philanthropy and social well-being initiatives through its partner organisations. Despite the current challenging period, Gleneagles JPMC is committed more than ever, not only to continue to provide best in class cardiac care and treatment for the nation but also to reach out to communities in all sectors, in raising awareness and promoting the social values that its partner organisations have continuously strive to achieve.

This year’s CSR Programme underscores the strong commitment and endeavour from Gleneagles JPMC to be able to continue to make a positive difference towards the local communities and beyond.
