GJPMC donates the monetary fund to NGOs

Gleneagles JPMC, in a remarkable demonstration of its corporate social responsibility, has announced a substantial monetary donation of $BND12,000 each to three local NGOs - Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, An-Nur Harapan, and SMARTER Brunei. This generous act of philanthropy was unveiled at a special event graced by the guest of honour, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II, in his capacity as the Chairman of Gleneagles JPMC. The event was held this afternoon at Mutiara Hall, Radisson Hotel, Bandar Seri Begawan.

Representing Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam to receive the donation was Yang Mulia Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila Diraja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, Executive and Operational Trustee of Pusat Ehsan, while An-Nur Harapan was represented by Yang Mulia Melline binti Haji Jaini, General Manager of An-Nur Harapan, and receiving for SMARTER Brunei was Yang Mulia Pg Zamri bin Pg Haji Bujang, President of SMARTER Brunei. The mock cheque presentation was handed over on by the guest of honour on behalf of Gleneagles JPMC as the Chairman of the hospital.

The donation signifies more than just financial support; it reflects a deep-seated commitment to partnership and collaborative effort with these organizations. Gleneagles JPMC believes in the power of collective action and is dedicated to contributing to the well-being of the community it serves.

Speaking at the event, Dr Peter Tay, CEO of Gleneagles JPMC emphasized the importance of such partnerships. “This donation represents our commitment to collaboration, learning, and sharing experiences with these admirable organizations. We are eager to engage actively and understand the challenges faced by these NGOs to work together towards overcoming them,” said Dr Tay.

Acknowledging the pivotal role played by NGOs in driving social progress, he also expressed gratitude to Pusat Ehsan, An-Nur Harapan, and SMARTER Brunei for their relentless efforts. These organizations are recognized as beacons of hope, advocating for the voiceless and championing essential causes.

The event also witnessed the guest of honour and the guests touring the mini exhibition displays by the three NGOs showcasing and sharing their work, progress of projects, and their achievements and milestones.

Attending the event were management team at Gleneagles JPMC and representatives from Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, An-Nur Harapan, and SMARTER Brunei.
