Intensive Care Unit

  • The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a fully equipped with bedded unit-providing intensive care for patients who have either or both medical and surgical problems. Patients in the units are closely monitored with bedside monitors, which are connected to a central monitoring unit at the nurses’ station.
  • The dedicated healthcare team is made up of Doctors, ICU trained and experienced staff nurses, Respiratory Therapist, Physiotherapist and Healthcare Assistants.
  • One of the goals of the team is to provide safe patient care for ‘Fast-track recovery” with minimal complications.
  • The nursing team, led by the Nurse Manager, provides round the clock nursing care. Intensive nursing care is provided for those who just had surgery, Interventional cardiology as well as those who very critical and need close monitoring
  • The doctors provide 24 hours’ service and are rostered to do call duties.
  • Visiting hours for Intensive Care Unit are as follows:
    • 12pm — 2pm
    • 5pm — 9pm

Visitors to the Intensive Care Unit are limited to TWO visitors for each patient at any one time.
Children under the age of 12 years old are NOT allowed in Intensive Care unit.

Coronary Care Unit

  • The Coronary Care Unit is fully equipped with bedded units and a cardiac monitor.
  • The beds in the room are also used for isolation cases patients at times. The other beds are placed in the open area in the Coronary Care Unit.
  • Coronary Care Unit is a specialized in the care of patients with Myocardial Infarction (MI), post coronary angiogram (CAG), post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), post Electrophysiology Study (EPS), post Ablation, post cardiac surgery, Intra-Aortic Ballooning Pump (IABP), post Pacemaker / Micra Leadless / AICD / ICD Implant, TEE procedure, Cardioversion, unstable angina, cardiac dysrhythmia and various other cardiac conditions that require continuous monitoring and treatment.
  • The dedicated healthcare team of Doctors, well-trained and experienced registered nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
  • Visiting hours for Coronary Care Unit are as follows:
    • 12pm — 2pm
    • 5pm — 9pm

Visitors to the Coronary Care unit are limited to TWO visitors for each patient at any one time.
Children under the age of 12 years old are NOT allowed in Coronary Care unit.

General Ward

  • The General Ward are equipped with bedded units. Patients in the General Ward are generally transferred in from Coronary Care Unit when their conditions are more stable and they are able to walk around on their own. The ward also admits patient prior to angiogram, surgery and as well as those with non-urgent life threatening cardiac conditions.
  • The patients here are looked after by the same medical and surgical healthcare team who are looking after the patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Coronary Care Unit. This ensures a standard of care for the patients.
  • Visiting hours for General Ward  are as follows:
    • 12pm — 2pm
    • 5pm — 9pm

Visitors to the General Ward are limited to TWO visitors for each patient at any one time.
Children under the age of 12 years old are NOT allowed in General Ward.
